After Mechanical, Electrical installation and successful MRI Room Alert testing, the user is encouraged to test workflow. Generally speaking, a user in the MRI room will actuate the MRI Room Alert with a physical
button touch or a vocal phrase call out. When the remote is alerted the
base unit will produce a Sonic alarm and optionally announce the automated alert message (Example: Call is coming from the MRI Room remote: “Zone 1”). The base unit will dial the designated staff phone number and a two-way phone conversation will begin by hitting a 3 to
listen and a 1 to talk, between the person or persons in the MRI room
and the designated person who answers the phone. Additionally, up to six people will receive its pre-designed text alert and up to six people will receive a pre-designed email.

The MRI Room Alert uses keyword spotting technology to recognize wake words that initiate GSM wireless communication outside of the MRI room. The MRI Room Alert does not use AVR (advanced voice recognition) technology, so it does not have any way to listen to or record MRI room conversations thus there will be no issue with HIPPA, data collection, or other privacy concerns. The MRI room alert uses GSM wireless protocol for Communications and never uses facility wired or wireless internet. So the MRI room alert can never be a network security concern for your IT Department and your facility.
